Join us from 5:30 - 6:30 PM for special holy hours for religious freedom, followed at 6:30 PM with a workshop led by Deacon Brian Lauri.

As our nation approaches 250 years old, our Church approaches 2,000 years old. But as Americans and Catholics, are we actually freer today to practice our religion? Join Dc. Brian as we explore our long history of religious freedom and hatred, beauty and bigotry. We will explore topics such as the anti-Catholic history of America, the drive to rid our country of Christianity, and recent laws and Supreme Court restricting and supporting religious freedom. Come and learn some of our past, present and future that the history books and modern media won't tell you!

This workshop is a continuation of Embracing the End, which introduced the basics of estate planning and Catholic principles surrounding end-of-life decisions and funerals. In this session, we will cover practical topics such as power of attorney, health care proxy, car insurance, and life insurance. Participants will also have the opportunity to begin making funeral plans, including selecting readings and music, drafting an obituary, and offering guidance for words of remembrance. This workshop is open to everyone. Attending the first workshop is not a prerequisite.
