Liturgical

  • Altar Server

    Boys and girls from grade 3 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy. Please contact the parish office if your children are interested in becoming altar servers.

  • Eucharistic Minister

    Extraordinary Ministers of Communion serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. Contact the parish office if you feel called to serve in this ministry.

  • Music Ministry

    Join together in song! Contact our music director, Nick Cantello for more information.

  • Reader / Lector

    A Reader is one who proclaims the Scriptures at Mass and other services. Contact the parish office for more information.

  • Sacristan

    The duties of a Sacristan include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass. Contact the parish office for more information.

  • Greeters

    These are parish volunteers who warmly welcom parishioners as they enter the church for Mass. They may also direct parishioners to information about upcoming events. Contact the parish office for more information.

  • Senior Altar Server

    Men and women who assist the priest at Mass or Mass of Christian Burial.

  • Liturgical Linen Service

    These are people responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens.

  • Usher

    People who assist parishioners to their seats if necessary, hand out the bulletin after Mass, and take up the collection. Contact the parish office for more information about this ministry.

Spreading the Gospel

  • Catechist

    Join us in sharing and teaching the faith! Catechists teach Family Faith Formation, Sacramental Preparation, the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (O.C.I.A.) and Youth Ministry.

  • Fellowship Committee

    Volunteers who coordinate social activities and gatherings of parishioners during the year. Contact the parish office if you feel called to serve in this ministry.

  • Men's Groups

    All men are welcome!


    at Divine Mercy, the men's group meets on the second Saturday of each month 7:30 - 8:30 AM.


    at Sacred Heart, the men's Bible study meets on Fridays 6:30 - 7:30 AM


    Men are also encouraged to join the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society

  • O.C.I.A.

    Order of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic Sacraments.

    at Sacred Heart, the Blessed is She Women's Group meets Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:30 PM.


    At Divine Mercy, Women at the Well women's group meets monthly in parishioners' homes.

Service

  • Food Pantry

    Food pantries at both parishes help support those in need.  Providing food to hundreds of families, they runs soley on donations. 


    Please contact the parish office if you know someone who is in need. 


    Place non-perishable donations in the basket on your way into Mass or consider making an online donation through OSV.

  • Scotty Thrift Store

    The Scotty is a donation based second hand store offering inexpensive clothing and household items for those in need. Donations are accepted on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00AM-12:00 PM


    The money raised by selling the donated clothes and small household items continues to help our charitable efforts within the community.

  • Senior Luncheon

    Help prepare monthly meals for senior citizens in our community. Contact the parish office for more information.

  • Bereavement Support Groups

    Both parishes offer bereavement support groups. On the first Monday of each month, Healing through Openness to Prayer and Encouragement (H.O.P.E) meets at Divine Mercy in Central Square and on the third Monday of each month, Healing with Great Hope meets at Sacred Heart. Check the calendar for the most up to date times.

  • Prayer Shawl Group

    Join the women of Divine Mercy as they hand knit or crochet prayer shawls which are then given to those in bereavement. Check the calendar for more the date and time.
