Eucharist

"...the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread,

and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, 'This is my body that is for you.'" (1 Corinthians 23-24)

Sacramental Preparation

First Eucharist for Children

The Church assists parents in helping to prepare their children to receive the Eucharist. Preparation takes place over a period of two years simultaneous with preparation for first Penance. Two mandatory workshops and a mandatory rehearsal are also required. Children then receive Holy Communion for the first time at a special Sunday Mass.

First Eucharist for Adults

O.C.I.A. is the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults and is the process by which adults complete their Sacraments of Initiation (baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation)
